Jr. Sports Camp
When school is out get your child involved in the best sports camp program in the South Bay! This camp (formerly known as JAWS) has made its home at South End since 1981.
The camp programs are athletically based and carefully supervised for ages five to thirteen years old. Camp hours are 9:00AM – 3:00PM. Approximately eight campers to one counselor.
Campers participate in group activities including tennis, basketball, dodgeball, pickleball and games. Open swim is held daily from 1:00 PM -2:30 PM. Counselors will supervise campers while in the pool, as well as certified lifeguards, when the number of campers warrants. Younger children with less experience will stay in the smaller pool (1/2 foot – 4 ½ feet deep). Every Friday is pizza and a movie!!
Campers should wear comfortable play clothes and sports shoes. Send your child with the following labeled items: backpack, sunscreen, swimsuit, towel, hat(optional) and tennis racquet (if he/she has one). South End Junior Sports Camp is designed to keep your children safe and active all Spring and Summer long!
(Floaties are required for campers who don’t know how to swim)
Included in the Fee:
- Group participation in tennis, swimming, basketball, pickleball and other sports.
- Professional tennis group instruction
- Sports equipment
- Arts & crafts (for younger campers)
- Snack (includes chips and fruit)
- Lunch (varies each day with foods such as chicken nuggets, hamburgers, hot dogs, macaroni and cheese. Your child may bring his/her own lunch).

- Before Care 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM
- After Care 3:15 PM - 6:00 PM
- Swim Lessons: Group swim lessons are offered Monday through Thursday during free swim time. A certified swim instructor will teach water safety and basic swim.

Ballet
The smiles abound as our littlest stars discover the Joy of Dance in this fun and lively class.
Learn fundamental movement and coordination while the cheerful, energetic environment inspires confidence and expression.
Fun and energy remain the focus as our blossoming ballerinas sharpen their skills, build fit bodies and sharpen minds. Students will develop a firm technical base and essential listening skills in preparation for ballet stardom.
Our ballerinas’ skills shine as they focus on beautiful presentation, balance, and grace. With greater attention to precision, self–discipline, and refinement, our students nurture their talents and self–confidence.
Our supportive methods prepare young ballerinas for the challenge and rewards of dancing on pointe. Students will first develop lovely arches, solid feet, and legs. Later they will focus on balance and technique. Advanced pointe students will perform the most famous ballet roles with skill, grace, and complete confidence.
