South End Pickleball Hub

A hub we built for our own players

South End is proud to have its own Pickleball Hub, with over 500 members and guests.

One login covers open play, league, the duo ladder, events, Social, and the message board. Set your level from 2.0 to 5.0, see who is already signed up, add a session to your calendar, and invite someone by email, link, or a QR code.

Reserving a court is separate. That grid lives in the club app, by phone, or at the front desk.

A court of your own

Reserve one when open play is not the plan

Beyond open play, members whose membership includes pickleball can reserve a court. Getting a court is rarely an issue.

Book up to a day ahead, from 6 AM, in the club app, by phone, or at the front desk. The front desk also books walk-ins when a court is open. Each booking is 1.5 hours, with no court fee on Elite and Pinnacle memberships.

Questions

Before you visit

What is the reservation policy?

Members book up to a day ahead, from 6 AM, in the club app, by phone or at the front desk, and the front desk also books walk-ins when a court is open. Each booking is 1.5 hours, with no court fee on Elite and Pinnacle memberships. Getting a court is rarely an issue. Open play needs no court booking, and the Pickleball Hub is not the court grid.

What is the Pickleball Hub for?

South End is proud to have its own Pickleball Hub, with over 500 members and guests. It is where you RSVP for open play, see who is coming, join a league or the duo ladder, follow events, and find a game through Social and the message board. Court time on the day-ahead grid stays in the club app.

Will I find players at my level?

Yes. Open play is easy-going and mostly beginner through intermediate. Advanced open play is for stronger games, around 4.0 and up. Leagues run in divisions, and the ladder posts its level on the hub. Your profile carries a level from 2.0 to 5.0, so you can see who is signed up around you.

Can I play if I am not a member yet?

You can join a league or the duo ladder when that season is open to non-members, and advanced open play is open to guests around 4.0 and up. A reserved court is for a member whose membership includes pickleball, or for their guest with a guest pass. To play regularly, pickleball comes with Elite and Pinnacle memberships, and a tour is the easiest way to find the one that fits you.

How do league and the ladder work?

League is doubles, one day a week for your division, six weeks, then playoffs. Mixed divisions play one man and one woman on a side. Co-ed divisions can pair any way the team likes. Players are 18 or older, or younger with a guardian's consent on file. The ladder keeps you with one partner for the session, moves winners up a court toward the clubhouse, and gives the top three courts the week's points. Fees and dates change by season, so the hub has the live ones.

Can I take lessons?

Yes. Lessons are for members and run by Brandon Hooker, the Director of Pickleball: (310) 251-3804 or pickleball@southendclub.com.
